So when I talk to my 28 year old son in law school, it becomes a different issue. He's a 3L in the thick of things seeing "both" sides of everything, without any moral consideration, and his conservative leanings tend to buy the myth that unions and "liberals" are anti-business. He can talk the liberal argument, because he may have to one day, but his conservative bias is hard to break. I wish him all the best, always, but God help us should he ever make the bench anywhere. ;)

All of these ideas- min wage, child labor laws, max hours per week, workplace safety, etc, all spring from liberal thinking, because liberals give a damn. Conservatives as a rule are too worried about who might take their hard earned money. You know the "sorry we just can't afford it" argument.

Some people obviously want their homes to feel like a home rather than a hotel.
If we're speculating, maybe those with private baths for each bedroom care more about their guests/kids than you? A person who gives everyone equal convenience to his or her own bedroom shows that they don't think they deserve better than others. It's a bit hypocritical to criticize someone's opinions on this house by criticizing his or her house.
I like the house, but as others have said, I'd at least offer baths for individual bedrooms.

Congratulations, you understood the main purpose of the iPad. Add Plants vs Zombies, Shredder Chess HD and a Comic Book reader and you've essentially discovered everything that can be done with the gadget. For everything else, it's too big to be a truly mobile device like a smartphone and too weak and restricted to replace a real computer.
But yes, at least the ads are great and really work the "magic". The only problem is that you won't stay in Wonderland with your iPad, and in the real world, it's just a nice toy for a couple of minutes but not really good for anything.

I love how these type of topics bring up all sorts of off the wall comments from politics, to legality of things.
The bottom line is, the carriers are not a fan of customers going around the system.. whatever that "system" is. Where Apple has played along with the carriers, Android devices have promoted going around the system and it looks like the carriers are not happy about this.
In the long run, everything finds it level.

Bummer, I really liked the iOS-style scrollbars. My favorite thing about Lion is the inverted scrolling. It feels more natural on a touchpad once you get used to it.
I agree. I am using scroll reverser on Snow Leopard right now and enjoy it a lot. After about a day or two it becomes more natural.

Jail time for strikers is bizarre and totally unacceptable.
Additionally there is no way you can claim that it is a "individual liberty" position to hold to be for jailing strikers.
You should know by noe that fivepoint is only interested in individual freedom when it's an issue he agrees with.

Apple needs to play catch up by adding some features to OSX.
Functionality? You can't do absolutely anything with Windows out of the box without downloading extra software.
What can you do with your newly bought Windows PC?
Scan for viruses with a 30 day trial of Norton.
Notepad, Paint.

iPhoto, iMovie, Garageband, iDVD, iWeb.
Even disregarding a new computer and just looking at a new OS (as iLife only comes with a Mac). You can't do mundane tasks like viewing a PDF (yes, coming in Windows 8, OS X had it since 2000). You can't have virtual desktops. Hell I remember Vista Home Basic and Business wouldn't even play a DVD without downloading extra stuff (not sure what the situation is with 7 there). Quick look, Stacks, Expose.

Ive worked in 3D for a number of years and the image strikes me as rendered and with radiosity at that. The images look compressed and have a spotty look to them. Firstly thats not how compression works, it doesnt take points and radiate out like that. Rendering with radiosity does, it looks like its been set to a low rays per pixel setting (different app call it different things but I think thats what Lightwave used to call it). Anyway you get a very similar image to the one provided.
So I think fake because not only could I produce the same image in Lightwave but I could also produce the same characteristics of the lighting / rendering method.
